Highlights: The Wizards took an early lead in a fast paced match against the Purple Panthers. The girls from Lodi fought back gallantly but were edged out in the end. On offense Megan Graham excelled weaving and passing through a tough Lodi defense. Sammy Morris was shooting cannon shots one after another for a total of 8 shots on the Lodi goal hitting her target with all 3 Wizards scores. Brittanie Barnett fought hard on the inside missing a score by inches on a great pass across the goal from Erica DaSilva. Once again the Wizards “D” held tough. Stephanie Shepherd, single handedly, broke up a 3 on 1 Panther breakaway and took the ball up the sideline. Defensive standouts Chelsea Rea, Sidney Forman and Kailee Nuding kept the Purple Panthers working hard for every inch of forward progress. Goalie Lindsay Williams had another great attempt at her impression of a “Brick Wall” with 5 saves.
